Franklin Hill Sprints x6
1. 1:02
2. 1:06
3. 1:09
4. 1:11
5. 1:09
6. 1:06
The Franklin Hill sprints are about 226m long and rise in elevation is about 73 feet. The angle is 5-6 degrees. It’s nasty going up it, but the view from the top coming down is really cool – especially when I was teaching my 6am and 7am classes and the sun was coming up all orange. Really nice way to start the day.
This was definitely slower than last time I did Franklin Hill back in June, preparing for the CrossFit Games. On that day my times ranged from :56-1:05. Today I ranged from 1:02-1:11. So basically 6 seconds slower all around. Yikes! As much as Franklin Hill sucks, doing these intervals helps and will help everybody’s 10K times, too!
7:00pm – Fencing Lesson
My second lesson with my new instructor, Daniel Grigore. The nerves of starting somewhere new and with a new coach were gone this week, so it was a really good lesson. We worked on my stance some more and a bunch of different sequences. He does a really nice job of putting things in context of a fencing match, so I know why I’m practicing what I am and what the “real” scenario would be. I won’t be able to go on Friday since it’s the CFLA Holiday Party! I’m going to try to rearrange my lesson schedule a little bit so I don’t miss too many lessons over the holiday. I’m really happy to be at this new fencing school and I’m really excited to just keep getting in there!

2 questions:
1) I live on the west side. Exactly where is Franklin hills located?
2) how much rest between sprints?
Thanx.
